GETTING AROUND – Aer Lingus serves 2 airports in New York - both JFK and Newark. Both are within 40-60 minutes of Midtown Manhattan. Airtrain operates from both airports. Other forms of transport include yellow cabs, shuttles and private taxis.
 
SHOPPING – Whether you fancy the flea markets of Brooklyn or those flag ship stores in swanky Fifth Avenue shopping in New York is an amazing experience. Department stores such as Macy’s and Bloomingdales have everything covered and then SoHo and NoLlta feature an impressive array of little unusual boutiques. The Diamond District is famed for its sparkling and breathtaking gems. All around this city there are specialist shops devoted to, hats, chocolate, tech gear, vintage and even...  M&M’s!
 
ACTIVITIES – To get a quick view of the city take a hop on hop off bus and from here you can choose where to focus your time. Greenwich Village, Harlem, Chinatown, East Village – how to choose? A carriage ride through Central Park, a visit to the Empire State Building and trip to the Top of the Rock are all must do’s. Madame Tussauds and Ripley’s will keep the kids happy and a visit to Yankee Stadium, or one of the many beautiful and well tended parks or historic sites will keep you busy during your stay here.
 
DINING OUT/NIGHTLIFE – The restaurants in New York City cater for every taste and budget, for those special events Delmonico’s or the scenic Water’s Edge. For a quintessential taste of New York, pastrami is king at Katz’s Deli or go for a pizza at Dellarocco’s – street food is quick and delicious served from New York’s food trucks, or you could consider a dining cruise with live music and stunning skylines. NEARBY – 1 hour 45 minutes from the city is North Fork Vineyards of the Long Island Wine Country – enjoy a leisurely bike ride whilst sampling delicious wines. 1 hour away is Bear Mountain State Park with over 5,000 acres of parkland with
many recreational outdoor facilities such as hiking, biking and boating. Or you could consider a 2 centre option and combine New York with Connecticut to see Orlando or Vegas– San Fran east coast/west coast experience or an adrenaline pumped week in Orlando. All served directly by Aer Lingus
 
BEACHES – Fire Island is a beautiful stretch of coastline and is located 1 hour from New York which encompasses over 40 kilometres of pristine ocean and shoreline with lush dunes and maritime forests. There are a few beaches within close proximity of the city. Fort Tilden is difficult to get to as its not served by the subway, so, the best way to get to this hidden gem is a bike ride, offering 5 kilometres of clean sand,  trees and grassy dunes. Food, drinks and shopping can be found on the nearby boardwalk.
