Not a fan of scorching weather? Visit in the Spring months, which are usually a comfortable 23°C. Summer is very hot with temperatures reaching 40°C. Temperatures in winter, are low enough to hike in the Grand Canyon and Mount Charleston.

When to go

Prices are relatively low from September to November or from March to May. Book in early January for the autumn months and in September for spring months.

Activities

Any images you will have seen of Vegas will undoubtedly show the dancing Bellagio fountains with 30 songs usually in the repertoire, the fountains are breathtaking. For lively action visit SlotZilla at Fremont Street, offering 2 ways to fly, the lower Zipline and upper Zoomline, no trip is complete without a visit to The Venetian, a graceful and romantic glide down the Grand Canal in an authentic Venetian gondola. Vegas is over 5 hours away from a beach, so if you're looking for some nature, head to Lake Mead, one of the largest manmade lakes in the world. Red Rock Canyon, offers a desert beauty in beautiful shades of red, 24 kms west. Grand Canyon and a helicopter ride has to be on the bucket list.
