Playa blanca

Situated southwest tip of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca is the third most popular resort on the island. Once a fisherman’s village, it has developed but remained true to its origin, keeping things sophisticated and laid-back.

The resort boasts three beaches where crystalline waters lap the white sand. Centrally located in centre of town, Playa Blanca beach a Blue-Flag winner is the smallest. It has a promenade lined with quality restaurants, bars and cafes, why not enjoy your lunch overlooking the beach. A short walk west is the quieter sheltered beach of Playa Flamingo and from the promenade east you will find the Playa Dorada beach, another Blue-Flag winner, beach front here you will find an abundance of water sport activities.

The resorts boardwalk or promenade is the perfect stroll for those summer evenings and you can find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops of all kinds along here. You are sure to find something to suit even the pickiest of eaters. The marina is where you will find enticing upmarket seafood restaurants and cafes serving freshly caught fish. While there are some bars for entertainment in these areas they would not be late night parities, If you’re looking for some late night bars and clubs, head to the shopping centres, you will find entertainment that will have you dancing till the early hours of the morning.

Playa Blanca is the perfect resort for family and couple holidays, relax poolside or at one of the 3 fantastic safe beaches and enjoy some quiet evening entertainment. It also boasts a lively nightlife centre which would suit groups looking for a fun. The resort is unlike some of the other less well-thought- out resorts, with wide streets, traffic-free avenues, pretty landscaped public areas, Blue-Flag winning beaches, a promenade full of international and traditional cuisine and no ugly high rise buildings, you can see why Playa Blanca is becoming increasingly popular with holiday makers.
