Temperature

Salou is the perfect destination to go for sun, beach and sea! The temperature during the summer months are always high into 30°C and lows into December and January of 15°C.

 

When to go

If you’re looking for the hot weather, then you should visit Salou during the summer months, but beware it’ll be busy! You can still visit Salou during the fall months and enjoy long walks at the beach or lounging by the pool sipping your favourite cocktail.

Dining Out

Dining out in Salou is pretty much easy to do, wherever you go there will be a restaurant around every corner varying from Spanish, to Mexican and to your traditional takeaway places. You’ll definitely get a chance to taste some of the countries specialities such as Paella, Patatas Bravas and Gazpachos’ in one of the many Spanish restaurants in Salou! Salou is known for their seafood restaurants such as La Taverna, a restaurant with high quality products of seafood such as salmon tartar, octopus on potato strudel, rice with red shrimp and much more. The seafood restaurant O mar, is also great for seafood dishes with fish stews, aubergines, lobsters and prawns! You’ll be spoilt for choice in Salou when it comes to food.

Activities

You’ll never get bored, there are plenty of attractions for everyone to enjoy! Looking for an adrenaline rush? Look no further, both the PortAventura park and Ferrari land will welcome you with rides and beautiful scenery, where the park is divided into five regions of Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Mexico, Far West and Sesame Adventure dedicated for kids. Check out the Aquatic Park, filled with slides and pools to ensure plenty of fun for everyone. At night, take a walk along the promenade of Jaime 1, where the Fuente Luminosa de Salou, it offers a show of water, light and color during all summer evenings. Visit the Aquapolis, watch a dolphin show for free and have fun on the slides. If you want to get a change of view for one day, visit the Barcelona Aquarium and marina.

For Couples

Whether you’re looking to spend your days relaxing by the beach or sipping cocktails by the pool, there is something for couples to enjoy. Try a jeep safari for an experience you won’t forget. Along the way you’ll see historic villages, travel up mountain passes and through deep valleys, which will leave you in awe. The nightlife is electric in Salou, there’s plenty of nightclubs, pubs and bars to keep you entertained. Feeling adventurous take a 1 hour train ride to Barcelona, which is an amazing getaway to explore the cosmopolitan city. See the famous landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia and park Guell to get the views of the beautiful city.

From roller coasters, water parks, beautiful sand beaches and dolphin shows right at your doorstep and both the kids and adults will enjoy these.
