Visit the city of Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

  • Tokyo City Tour

Tokyo is the ultimate spot for a holiday destination, look beyond its bustling nightlife and you will find many traquill backstreets and temples to explore. The City Tour begins on the observation deck, the worlds tallest tower, before heading out to the tranquillity of the ancient Buddhist Sensoji Temple. Later on in the evening take a stroll through the classical landscapes of Hamarikyu Garden and then enjoy a relaxed dinner cruise on Tokyo Bay.

  • Mt Fuji

Hop on the speedy train to Odawara and cruise on Lake Ashi before taking the Komagatake cable car to experience the breath taking views of the lake below. Enjoy an overnight stay in Yatsugatake.

  • Matsumoto Castle

Drive 2 hours to Nagano to explore the formidable 16th century Matsumoto Castle. After lunch, visit a sake brewery to learn about the process of making Japan's most revered liquor, before travelling a further 2 and half hours to Takayama.

  • Explore Takayama

In the morning head to the Miyagawa Market and sample some of the delicious local fruits and vegetables. Wonder around the area and visit the local museums.

In the Morning explore the beautiful Kenrokuen, one of the 'Three Great Gardens of Japan'. Then visit the museum of contemporary art.

Explore Kyoto, start the day with a visit to Ryoanji. Visit the Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion,.Head to a Japanese wooden townhouse for a traditional handicraft experience and to enjoy the rituals of a tea ceremony.

  • Discover Nara

Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, Later travel to Nara, a relaxed and charming town, you will stroll through Nara Park to Todaiji Temple, meeting the resident Sika deer en route, before exploring Isui-en Garden.
 
  • Koya-San

Drive 2.5 hours to the centre of Shingon Buddhism, Koya-San. See Japan's largest cemetery and home to the founder of Shingon Buddhism in Okunoin. 
 
  • Explore Osaka

Explore Osaka, see Osaka Castle and explore the Dotonbori district. Before you head home take a cruise on the Yodogawa River. Then the following day fly home to Ireland
