Dewey, a wannabe rock star without success, starts as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school in order to make some easy money. It turns out that his pupils actually want to learn something and the headmistress becomes more and more suspicious of his relaxed teaching methods.
Dewey comes up with a plan and starts turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mic-dropping rock band. With this new and outrageous curriculum, he teaches his pupils much more than just lessons.
The incredible Andrew Lloyd Webber produced this quirky stage musical and composed 14 new songs, but you will also hear all the original songs from the movie. SCHOOL OF ROCK, with its sensational live kids’ rock band, is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music.
