The landscape is wonderful. The thrill of exploring the dunes by buggy is unique!
We will depart from the hotel by buggy towards the north coast. We will cross the Newton Navarro Bridge and see the mouth of the Potengi River. We will stop 20 km from Ponta Negra, at Redinha Beach. There, you can visit the Natal Aquarium/Zoo, which is home to more than 60 species of animals, including moray eels, fish, seahorses, monkeys, and alligators. You may even see sharks and penguins (optional entrance fee).
We will also stop at the famous Genipabu Dunes, the setting for Brazilian soap operas such as “Cambalacho” and “Flor do Caribe.” This location offers a view that combines the lagoon, the dunes, and the sea.
The next beach can be reached by a traditional ferry. We will cross the Ceará Mirim River to reach the beaches of Barra do Rio and Graçandu, where we can swim in calm waters. We will continue to the Pitangui dunes, which surround the lagoon of the same name, an oasis in the middle of the desert. There, we will stop to swim and enjoy the chairs positioned in the shallow part of the lagoon where we can sit with our feet in the water.
We will pass by the golden dunes, where scenes from the soap operas Tieta, O Clone, and Caminho das Índias were filmed. In the Jacumã dunes, we will also find the Jacumã lagoon, where we can go on aero-bunda, skii-bunda, and kamikaze rides (optional).
The adventure continues to Porto Mirim Beach, where we will stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant.
