Dubrovnik is not just about the Old Town. It is also its countryside. Nowadays is all about exploring this beautiful area and meeting the locals in their family households in Konavle for a cooking class and lunch. Upon arrival, our hosts will welcome us with a homemade traditional liqueurs and dry fruits, all that being the work of their hands. After that they will take us on a tour of their household. Depending on the season, we will have the chance to pick something out of the garden, which will later be used as the ingredient for preparing traditional lunch. You will learn how to prepare local dishes. This cooking class is created to present local ambiance and authentic feeling of a life in the village. Before our return to Dubrovnik, we will explore Sokol Grad standing high on inaccessible rocks above the village of Dunave in Konavle, where its imposing form has dominated the Konavle valley since the Illyrian times. Its shape matches the natural stone on which it rests, and its grey color blends with the natural surroundings. The earliest records of this fascinating structure can be found in documents dating from 1391 today kept in the Dubrovnik Archives.
