We will begin our adventure at Cerro El Salvador, where you can delight in an impressive panoramic view of the town and its surroundings. Here, you will be amazed by the majestic sculpture of Christ the King, which, with its 11-meter height, watches over all of Jericó. This is the perfect place to take photos of the sunsets, which bathe the landscape in a vibrant palette of colors. While you enjoy the view, your guide will narrate the fascinating history of Jericó, a town full of traditions and legends that will make you feel a part of its legacy.


Our next stop will be the Los Balsos Botanical Garden, a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by native trees, including the majestic centennial balso. Here, you can breathe fresh air while walking by a serene lake, in a perfect space to relax and reconnect with nature. Jericó is a municipality proud of its commitment to environmental preservation, and its declaration as a Green Municipality reflects its love for nature.


Next, we will head to the workshop of master artisan Rubén Darío Agudelo, a renowned craftsman who has received the Craftsmanship Medal from Artesanías de Colombia. In his workshop, you will learn about the process of creating the iconic Antioquian carrieles, and you will have the chance to take home one of these beautiful handmade leather products, perfect to remember your visit or as an authentic gift.


Then, enjoy a traditional lunch at one of Jericó’s most emblematic restaurants, where you can savor the most authentic flavors of Antioquia, such as bandeja paisa, ajiaco, or the classic empanadas.


After lunch, we will head to Jericó’s main square, where you can visit the birthplace of Saint Laura Montoya Upegui, the only saint from Colombia. This place is filled with history and spirituality, offering a deeply moving experience that will connect you to the rich religious heritage of the town (optional entry).


The next stop will be the famous Fábrica de Dulces El Jericoano, known for its exquisite candies, bonbons, and coconut and cardamom “manzanitas”, a unique flavor that will make you want to take a piece of Jericó home. A sweet stop you cannot miss!


Finally, you will have some free time to explore Calle del Comercio, where you can support local artisans and take home an authentic souvenir of your visit to this beautiful town. At the end of this day full of culture, history, and nature, we will return to Medellín with unforgettable memories.
