After being picked up at your hotel, you will head to the border of Montenegro, the neighbouring country of Croatia, called the wild beauty of Europe and considered a pearl of the Adriatic.
Cross the border and head to Perast via the coastal road surrounded by imposing mountains that offer spectacular views over the Adriatic. On the way, make a brief stop in Verige where you can soak up the views over the islets of Our Lady of The Rock and St George. Explore the Roman ruins of Risan before visiting Perast, the small town overlooking the Bay of Kotor and the islet Our Lady of the Rocks, Gospa od Škrpjela by its local name, where we will arrive by boat to visit the church and museum.
Next, visit the ancient city of Kotor, a true Montenegrin treasure. Explore this coastal city, surrounded by limestone cliffs, home to a picturesque canyon, with views that are sure to make your hair stand on end. The city is flanked by fortifications built during the Venetian period, giving it a strong historical sense and filling it with character.
Follow your local guide and visit the Cathedral of Saint Trypho and the impressive Kotor Maritime Museum, an interesting collection of historical and traditional artefacts. If you wish, you can climb the 1,350 steps to the medieval castle of San Giovanni, which overlooks the city from the top of a hill.
Take advantage of the free time and explore the city on your own or, if you prefer, recharge your batteries with lunch at one of Perast's many restaurants. Before returning to Dubrovnik, board a ferry and enjoy a short but relaxing ferry ride through the Bay of Kotor.
