The guide will pick you up in the hotel lobby, for hotels located within the urban perimeter of Puerto Ayora, for those staying outside of this area we will provide a preferred meeting point if you want to join us.
You will be directed to the passenger boarding area that is located in the port of Santa Cruz and then board a boat that will take us to Santa Fe Island, located southeast of Santa Cruz approximately 50 minutes away.
Once at the site, we will take a panga ride around the bay to see the sea lion colonies with their young. We will also have the iconic presence of Opuntia cacti and the occasional seabird such as the Blue-footed Booby.
For our second activity, we will snorkel twice around the reef area (45 minutes each snorkel) where you will be able to see an impressive marine fauna with a number of endemic species. Lunch onboard takes place between these activities.
Having reached this point of the itinerary, we head to our next stop, Playa Escondida, located on Santa Cruz Island. On the way to the site there will be an interactive fishing experience. Once you are on the beach, you can choose between relaxing in the crystal clear waters or resting on the golden sand.
On this tour you will experience snorkeling in the best spots on the island, seeing the local marine fauna, experiential fishing, and then relaxing on a beautiful beach, don´t miss out and come and enjoy this fun activity! The bay throughout its length and breadth is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. Sea turtles, rays, marine wolves and plenty of colourful fishes.
Once all the activities are done, you'll return to Puerto Ayora. Arriving at the port can vary between 3.30pm and 4pm, depending on the forecast.
