DAY 1 Saona Island
Part of the success of this activity has undoubtedly been achieving the goal of distancing ourselves from mass tourism.
With approximately 110 square kilometers, Saona Island has become the main attraction of the Caribbean. Its incredible beaches of fine white sand and crystal-clear waters make a visit to this Caribbean island a must. Our visit begins on one of Saona Island's pristine beaches, Playa de los Flamencos, a narrow strip of fine white sand adorned with tall coconut trees, crystal-clear waters, and a spectacular lagoon where, during the rainy months, you can see large flocks of pink flamingos.
A few minutes into the cruise, we will stop in the picturesque fishing village of Mano Juan, adorned with its pretty colorful houses, we will have the opportunity to wander its streets until we reach the small sea turtle sanctuary.
Canto Beach
Considered the most beautiful of all the beaches on Saona Island, this is the most remote beach you can visit on Saona Island. Canto Beach has an incredible shallow coral reef where, with a little luck, you can find countless colorful fish, stingrays, and many other marine species. This beach is characterized by the large number of coconut palm trees on its fine white sand, combined with the clear turquoise waters, making it the most beautiful beach on the entire island.
Natural Pools: Starfish Paradise
Without a doubt, another of the day's highlights will be a stop at the Natural Pools of Saona Island, one of the largest sandbanks in the world. Its extremely warm, crystal-clear waters are home to giant starfish. This place has become a must-see due to its extraordinary beauty.
DAY 2 Tropical Quad
Much more than a 4-wheel excursion! Tropical Quad Tours, a new activity created to please all those who seek adventure, contact with nature, pristine beaches, and of course, a little adrenaline, all in one day. During the day, we'll explore impressive places like the Costa Esmeralda, a true natural gem. We'll climb to the top of Montaña Redonda, and ride along miles and miles of pristine beaches on our quads, brand-new vehicles ideal for the whole family. Best of all, just minutes from Bávaro, Punta Cana.
Costa Esmeralda Beach: This is a wonderful, pristine beach surrounded by countless coconut groves. The tranquil waters dotted with impressive reefs make this beach a true natural gem.
Montaña Redonda Mountain: Montaña Redonda, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the Dominican Republic, stands at approximately 1,000 feet high and boasts a truly stunning natural landscape with 360-degree views. Here, we can take spectacular photos on one of its many hanging swings.
Quad Route: This is undoubtedly the day's highlight: the fun ride on a quad bike. quad, we will drive following the contour of the coast between sand dunes, large coconut trees, and deserted beaches, this will take us to visit completely paradisiacal, virgin beaches, beaches where tourists will not want to leave.
DAY 3 Santo Domingo City tour
Our tour begins with hotel pickup in the areas of Bávaro, Punta Cana, Bayahibe, La Romana, and more. After pickup, we'll head along the Coral Highway to the country's capital, Santo Domingo. During the journey, we'll enjoy truly beautiful landscapes, very typical of this Caribbean island.
Once we arrive in Santo Domingo, our first stop will be the majestic Cave of the Three Eyes. Inside, we'll be able to contemplate the impressive eyes of water or cenotes, lakes of cold, crystal-clear water. This place is so impressive that it has been the setting for multiple films.
Our excursion will continue with a panoramic visit to the Columbus Lighthouse, where we'll have the opportunity to admire this submerged structure dedicated to the historic Admiral Christopher Columbus. We will also visit the presidential palace, an exact replica of Washington's Capitol, the White House. Here we can take some photographs from the main entrance and even have a photo opportunity with the friendly royal guard.
Once inside the Colonial Zone, we will visit the Imperial Restaurant to enjoy a delicious Dominican lunch.After lunch, we will visit the former Santo Domingo Cathedral, the first cathedral built in the entire American continent. We will take a panoramic tour of Fortaleza Osama and have the opportunity to see the former home of Rodrigo de Bastidas, Ponce de León, Hernán Cortés, and others.
We will walk along Calle del Conde and Calle de las Damas, two emblematic streets of the Colonial Zone with more than 500 years of history. We will visit the Museum of the Royal Houses and the National Pantheon. Our tour will take us to the emblematic Plaza de España, home to one of the most anticipated monuments, the Alcázar de Colón. Before concluding our visit to the colonial zone, we will enjoy learning how artisans create beautiful jewelry with the semiprecious stone Larimar in the museum of the same name. Finally, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the largest colonial markets in Santo Domingo.
But that's not all. We still have a spectacular surprise in store for you: a visit to the National Aquarium. Located on the Santo Domingo seafront, this place is home to thousands of marine species, including turtles, manta rays, and sharks, as well as freshwater species such as crocodiles.
