City Break Holidays to Edinburgh

You’ll quickly feel at home in the city which bears many similarities to Ireland – weather, people and food. Start your trip with a visit to the Royal Mile, where you will find a lot of the city’s history and numerous attractions. Visit the Whiskey Experience for an excuse to sample some scotch, or if shopping is your thing, you’ll find numerous luxury brands on the high street or head to Stockbridge for vintage finds. Harry Potter fans can’t miss the Elephant House Cafe where JK Rowling wrote much of the series, and kids will love the optical illusions of Camera Obscura.

With cobbled streets and medieval architecture on one side and Georgian character on the other you can take a trip through Scotland’s history simply by walking the streets, or get an incredible panoramic view of the city by climbing up to Edinburgh Castle. If you prefer to take it easy there are wifi friendly trams, and it’s easy to hail a black cab.
