Florence Palazzo Vecchio: Museum Ticket and Audioguide

Come and discover the Renaissance treasures and Medici’s history and secrets inside their Palace.

Palazzo Vecchio, which stands majestically on the Florence skyline, is one of the most recognized symbols of the city. Built during the Middle Ages, it still preserves the austere architecture of the fourteenth century, with its crenelated top and the imposing Arnolfo’s Tower.

The indoor parts of the building, beautifully renovated in the '500 when the Palace became the house of Medici, are instead typically Renaissance and hold priceless treasures and works of art. In the sumptuous halls and the family's private apartments, worked the greatest artists of the period. Visiting the palace means strolling among the wonders of the Renaissance and retracing its history, discovering also the secrets and tales linked to the powerful Medici family.

The elegant courtyard by Michelozzo welcomes you at the beginning of a visit that will enable you to admire the famous and beautiful “Hall of the 500”, the charming and intimate study of Francesco I de Medici, the beautiful private apartments of Eleonora of Toledo and Cosimo I de Medici and the sumptuous and stunning boardrooms, in an incredible series of frescoes, paintings, decorations and statues of the greatest Renaissance artists as Michelangelo, Donatello, Verrocchio, Vasari, Ghirlandaio, and Bronzino, just to mention some of them.
