The early entrance option at Vatican museums (7:45AM tour) will lead you behind the doors of Catholicism in the most exclusive way with basically no-one around before the big crowd, for a complete different level of visit.

Being the burial place of St Peter Rome, the Vatican has always been considered a holy city, but besides that its museum is a chest of countless masterpieces: the astonishing gallery of statues, the fascinating gallery of maps, the gallery of tapestries and the Raphaels rooms. During your visit to the Vatican Museums you will have the opportunity to learn about the great artists who helped embellish one of the most fascinating sovereign states in the world.

Prepare yourselves as you enter the Sistine chapel and lift your head up to probably the most-famous and most-admired ceiling in the world and immerse yourselves into the “last judgement”, adorned by Michelangelo’s life-like, potent figures of Adam, God and Saints, and try to spot the artist’s self portrait on the torso of Saint Peter! Here the conclaves of cardinals have come together periodically, throughout the centuries, to elect a new pope, and Pope John Paul II called it the “Holy Spirit’s place of action”.

You will finish your tour with a special visit inside of St. Peter’s basilica, where you can admire the incredible mosaics, Michelangelo’s Pietà, and Bernini’s Baldachin in all of their glory.

  • The Vatican Museums imposes a mandatory dress code: knees and shoulders must be covered for all guests, otherwise you will not be able to enter.
  • Entry to the Vatican Museums is based on a strict timed tickets. For this reason, late arrivals cannot be guaranteed access.
  • Itinerary subject to change without notice.
  • Children under 18 years must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • All names must be advised as per photo ID. Photo ID will need to be shown for the security check.
  • Due to exceptional religious events, St Peter's Basilica might be closed without notice.
  • The itinerary may be subject to changes depending on restrictions decided by the museum board.
  • Shorts, big bags and liquid bottles will not be allowed inside the museums.
  • There is still a compulsory security check entering the museum which may cause some delays when entering.
  • Please note that the tour meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no shows after tour commencement or departure.
  • Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or with impaired mobility.
  • Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
  • Tours depart precisely at the scheduled tour start time. If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point, for any reason, refund requests are not honoured per policy. For most tours, it is not logistically possible to join the group after it has started.
  • This tour takes approximately 3.5 hours for the Early Entrance option at 7.45am or about 3 hours for the later times available.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you cancel at least 9 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 9 days of the scheduled departure or do not show for the tour, there is a 100% cancellation fee.
